When we were scheduled to film at a school at the base of Morro do Alemão, we were surprised by a police operation that led to the school being closed. Here we develop what these operations mean for the community. Through a theater group coordinated by the creator of Grupo Vozes, Joao Vitor, drama students from different communities put on performances about the pain and loss represented by these operations.
