Starting with rubber extraction, the history of the contacts between the SPI and the Munduruku is portrayed from the cycles of exploitation of the natural resources of their territory, marked by the Tapajós river basin. Currently, the Munduruku are fighting against the construction of the São Luiz do Tapajós hydroelectric plant, and they have already achieved important victories.
